Did Brian’s tone make you interested in the podcast or throw you off?
Throw me off, his tone makes it really comical and negative about the topic when this topic is pretty serious. I don't agree with his tone for the subject.
Do you agree with the policy that says the caller must ask for help prior to receiving help? Why or why not?
I feel like the person should ask for help to receive help. The caller shouldn't overstep and make the person feel uncomfortable. Maybe they want to talk to someone but they don't actually need emergency attention. I feel this way, however what if people don't want to ask for help or feel uncomfortable asking for the help when they actually really need it? sooo maybe the policy isn't a good thing, it would perhaps save more lives without it.
What, if anything, does this podcast have to do with the research paper we are writing now? I'm talking form or content. What connections do you see between the two?
Both the podcast and our research paper include real examples and facts. Another connection between the two might be that both have interview like conversations with members of the topic communities.
