Who is John B. McLemore? 

A horologist who sent an email to the staff of The American Life asking them to investigate a murder that took place in his hometown of Woodstock, Alabama. After a year of emails and conversation with the staff, Brain Reed agreed to go out to Woodstock Alabama to investigate. While the podcast was still in production, McLemore commits suicide, the end of the podcast researches and uncovers McLemore's death and his life in Woodstock, Alabama.

Why is Brian in S-Town?

Brain is in S-town because McLemore requested he went to Woodstock, Alabama to investigate a murder. He was the host of the investigative journalism show called The American Life and McLemore thought to request him to investigate.

The time of the podcast is the investigation of the crime McLemore expressed and then when McLemore commits suicide, Brian Reed's podcast focuses on exploring McLemore and his life and character.

Why are Yunior and Rafa in the campo?

They were in campo over the summers because their mother worked a lot and could not watch them every day when they are not in school. They would stay in campo with their uncle.

What is Rafa and Yunior's relationship like?

Sometimes good but mostly full of Rafa making fun of or picking on his brother Yunior. Yunior still listens and looks up to Rafa when it comes to girls or things he thinks will help him in the future.
