Annoyance: Dating Spider-Man
Dating Spider-Man is an example of an annoyance because he describes it as, you are basically having a usual conversation or on a date and then just as the conversation gets interesting he hears someone calling for help and has to leave your conversation and go help the citizen. You are just left hanging, as if you left a quotation just hanging mid-conversation. As you turn to finish your thought or conversation to Spider-Man he has already left, and you left your paragraph or sentence without finishing the quotation. Another example like this one would be if you are taking a bite out of your cheeseburger at a cookout and as you thought process is already on finishing the cheeseburger, you drop it on the ground mid bite. You were set to eat your burger and you dropped it on the floor. This is similar because just like the burger is left unfinished on the ground, so is the quotation. It is left unfinished in the paragraph without finishing the thought process. Another example would be if you were painting and you had a thought process of how and what you were going to paint and then someone bumps into the painting causing the painting to be ruined. This is similar due to the fact that you had intentions on finishing your painting and it was just left smeared or not the same, this is similar to not ending your quotation within a paragraph.
I have a hard time citing my sources properly. Unlike with the Dating Spider-Man example, because I can finish my quotes, I do have a hard time using the sources correctly within my writing. Where does the citation go? Do I put it before or after my quotation? According to Kyle Stedman, I could probably fix this by using his “citation that only lists a title” section to apply the information and instructions to my own writing.
